With regular free memory clinics in both Halifax and Kentville you can choose between two convenient locations.

Why get your memory tested?

You care about your health and wellness. You have your blood pressure and cholesterol checked regularly by a medical professional. Your mental health is just as important for your overall well-being. We use standardized memory tests that have been used on millions of people in clinical and research settings. After a couple simple assessments, we can provide you with information about how your memory and cognition compare to others in your age group. If your results show that you may be experiencing memory and cognition problems, beyond normal ‘age related’ issues, we are ready to assist you in seeking the best medical advice and can provide you with up-to-date information on treatment options. Why do we offer this free service?

True North Clinical Research conducts clinical trials with experimental medications which are not yet approved by Health Canada. We are contributing to this important research to help discover new medications to treat conditions like Alzheimer’s Disease. By attending a memory clinic, you are in no way obligated to participate in research. If you are experiencing memory loss, you may qualify to participate in one of our studies. If you are interested, our staff can provide you with more information about our current research studies. Participation in a clinical research study is entirely voluntary and is completely free of charge.
